Should I label my child’s personal items?

LABEL YOUR CHILD’S PERSONAL ITEMS

Kids often leave their clothing and belongings scattered around the facility, and it’s disheartening for us to have to discard items they care about simply because they aren’t properly looked after. To help prevent this, please label your child’s belongings so that if something is misplaced, we can return it to its rightful owner. With so many kids at camp, it’s important to note that all items left behind at the end of camp will be donated to Goodwill. We will not be mailing any items back, so we highly recommend taking inventory of the belongings your child intends to bring and keep valuables at home.

What should we pack for camp?

CAMP PACKING LIST:

  • Soap and skin wipes
  • Neosporin
  • Lotrimin (in case your wrestler gets ringworm so we can get on it right away)
  • Vitamin C / Multivitamins (Kids may get fatigued at camp and are around kids from all over, so please send vitamins to help with sickness)
  • Wrestling shoes- (Bring multiple pairs if able)
  • Head gear (optional)
  • Shower shoes (flip flops/slides)

What is the Camp food situation?

CAMP FOOD INFORMATION

Meals:

Campers will be provided with 3 meals per day. There will be a camp store in the bunkhouse where we will offer a wide variety of food, snack & drink options for an additional fee.

What to do about food Allergies?

FOOD ALLERGIES: (VERY IMPORTANT!)

Food allergies or special food requests should be emailed to Jessica at [email protected] with the subject “FOOD ALLERGIES/SPECIAL MEALS” before the start of camp. We try to plan the meals in advance so the sooner we can get these messages, the better.

How much should I give my child for the camp store?
  • A typical amount is around $100 per week. You will get any money back that your child doesn’t spend. We keep their cash for them in the camp store like a bank so they do not lose money or have it stolen. Kids always have the option to hold their money, but we are not responsible if it is lost. You can also Venmo the camp store and add money during the week if you would like. Please, do not send gear money to the camp store!
  • Venmo – @thefarmwc
